This difficult site, sloping down from the low side of the road, had been vacant for many years. WIthin the neighbourhood considerable resistance to its development existed and strict council development restrictions and requirements also governed the site.
Aside from these factors, breathtaking views made this a fantastic location and the owners were set on creating their ultimate contemporary beachside home.
With its reputation for designing to overcome site and council restrictions, Oppidan Homes made this a reality. Council restrictions on height and building envelope were minimized through the creative use of contemporary architecture and a flat roof. The requirements for articulation and variable setbacks were used to good effect, capturing light and sun and making the most of views to the back of the property. |
